Arnolfini exhibitions

Over the years AIM and Arnolfini’s partnership has strengthened through greater collaborations and the regular presence of AIM artists at Arnolfini where they have enjoyed engaging with visitors and sharing their work.

Amongst recent work includes Back in June, we had the opportunity to work with Adebayo Bolaji on a community collective mural painting, which took place alongside his show ‘In Praise of Beauty’ at Arnolfini.

This piece covered many walls of the community space and was a great space for our artists to work together on a collaborative artwork, which responded to what beauty means to them.

Bolaji reminds us that our notion of beauty is fundamental to how we engage with the world and how the thoughts and values we place on things, people and experiences shape our lives. As with AIM, there is an understanding that different interpretations and ways of looking are all valid, and through these insights we can all arrive at a more personal experience of art.

Colin Higginson director of AIM was also invited to write the accessible guide for Adebajo’s exhibition.

Thanks once again to Arnolfini for enabling this to happen, and to our funders for the support.
