About
“The work I make covers a little bit of everything – I enjoy painting the most, as you can really experiment with it! My main inspirations are old artists, like Picasso and cubism.
I’ve been making work 10 years. I started at ‘Artist First’, which was the first time I’d been able to get into art. Then after Covid, I have been working with AIM. I’m thankful I found both them, and Colin. The thing I enjoy most about making art is meeting people, coming to groups and making friends. There’s always people you haven’t worked with before.
The piece of work I’m most proud of is the self portrait. I did one from a mirror, which was a portrait from a photo in Jerwood. I’m currently working on a portrait of Ant and Dec. My goals are do a solo show as part of AIM.
AIM has made a difference to my life in a positive way. The best bit is making friends, it’s a friendly group! We all have different styles and ways of doing things. I like to do my own thing too, as an individual.
If i could give advice to other people wanting to become an artist, it would be let them know being an artist is special. You’ve got to go for it and give it a try. Don’t worry if you’re going to fail.
If I could describe my work in 3 words, it would be vibrant, colour, fun.”
